This policy explains what personal data Validara collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it deliberately plain — vague privacy policies are exactly the kind of thing we assess against in our own work.

Who we are

Validara is an independent AI-governance assessment practice based in the United Kingdom, operated through its registered company. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, contact hello@validara.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

• Enquiry details you submit — your name, email address, and any company name or message you enter into our contact form (or send us by email). We collect this only so we can reply to and manage your enquiry.
• Consent record — when you tick the consent box on the form, we record that you did so, and when.

We do not collect anything else. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no profiling. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your visit is not shared with third-party font providers.

Cookies

This website does not set any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to keep the site secure and available; this does not identify you and does not require consent.

Our lawful basis

For enquiries you send us, our lawful basis under UK GDPR is your consent (which you give via the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to and managing business enquiries. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

How your data is handled and stored

Contact-form submissions are processed by our website host (Netlify) on our behalf and forwarded to us by email. We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless you become a client, in which case separate client-engagement terms apply. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@validara.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business develops. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
